8TH ANNUAL EMERALD CUP CONTEST

The 8th Annual Emerald Cup Competition & Exposition, America’s longest running medical cannabis contest, will be taking place on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Area 101 in Laytonville, CA.

Proclaimed by Rolling Stone Magazine as “the premier competition in America” and documented by Discovery Channel and National Geographic in 2010, this celebration is dedicated to outdoor sustainable farming and open to all green responsible growers.

For the past seven years, Tim Blake and Area 101 have hosted the annual event that has posed the question of who grows the best medicine in Mendocino County. Last year, over 150 strains were entered into the competition for the coveted Emerald Cup.

This year’s event begins at 2 pm and will feature a tribute to Valerie Corral, as WAMM “Person of the Year”, the Emerald Cup’s Top 15 Strains, prominent speakers and entertainment.
